New Delhi-based multi-faceted artist Sanjeeta Bhattacharya has been able to oscillate between music and acting seamlessly through her years within the arts. Bhattacharya – who was nominated for a Grammy in 2023 as part of the Berklee Indian Ensemble for their album Shuruaat – was tapped to be on Spotify’s global emerging artist program called RADAR in 2020 for her song “Everything’s Fine?” as well as Apple Music’s Up Next in 2022, a monthly program that elevates and showcases fresh talent. With a number of singles and collaborations to her name, some of Bhattacharya’s most well-known songs include “Watercolour,” “Khoya Sa,” “I Will Wait,” “Swimming” and “Red,” which for its stunning visuals was voted as the Best Indian Music Video of 2020 by Rolling Stone India.
As a live performer, Bhattacharya has played at the Nami Island World Music Festival in South Korea and the Panama Jazz Festival and has also been a regular amongst the festival circuit in India with slots to her name at Hornbill, Bacardi NH7 Weekender and Magnetic Fields.
Bhattacharya’s on-screen debut as an actor was for the Netflix series Feels Like Ishq in 2021, which received positive reviews. Her stint with acting continued with the Zee 5 web series called The Broken News. She’s also set to be part of two upcoming films called Adbhut and Jawaan as well as a forthcoming web show on Amazon Prime Video titled Django. Bhattacharya’s versatility as an actor has also seen her involved with branded ad campaigns with the likes of Vivo, Bisleri Limonata, IKEA, Quaker Oats, Elle18, Niva Bupa, Skinn by TITAN, Bumble India, Instagram, Clean and Clear, AXIS Bank and Dream11.
A two-time TEDx speaker, Bhattacharya has even shared her experiences and stories and talked about finding inspiration in the mundane as well as performed her music live at VIT and VIIT Pune, respectively.
Her song ‘Khoya Sa’ with Aman Sagar was synced in the Netflix Original IRL - In Real Love.
Debuted in Netflix’s anthology series Feels Like Ishq - She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not.
