Alif is a singer,songwriter, poet & IRAA Award winner for his single Like A Sufi, he has also won the Dada Saheb Phalke Award for his track Lalnawath & an IIMA Award for the Best Folk Song for his song Ride Home with Noor Mohammad

 

Since 2014, he has been teaching song-writing and poetry at Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, Pune. He is an adept film-maker and scriptwriter, he conceptualizes and directs videos & has played various characters. He has written dialogues for Sanjay Dutt starrer "Torbaaz". 

This year has seen Alif score, produce & direct music for an upcoming feature film directed by Shlok Sharma & produced by industry aficionados Anurag Kashyap & Navin Shetty.
